Justin Corrente (lower left), a fixture at Oxford Hills athletic events, waves to well wishers during a belated birthday parade in his honor. Corrente, who is known for his play-by-play calls from the stands and sidelines of Viking sporting events, expressed on his Facebook page that he missed everyone during this spring of cancelled seasons. Joni Gordon, who runs the Pink Feather Foundation where Corrente volunteers, decided to organize the parade after recognizing the frustration the state-wide lockdown has had on Corrente. "He walks everywhere," Gordon noted. "But he walks with a purpose." Without sporting events, she explained, that purpose is gone. During the parade, Corrente stood on the shoulder of Route 26 announcing every license plate number and waiving to every car. Michelle Campbell, who helped organize the parade, asked Corrente what he thought after the parade. Corrente responded, "I think everyone in the Oxford Hills misses me."
